Photoroom Product Animator Alternative: Motionframe for Listing GIF + MP4 (2026)
Motionframe is a Photoroom Product Animator alternative for a short listing loop: one packshot in, an MP4 and a GIF out. It does not replace Photoroom's background remover or Video Ad Maker. Prices checked 2026-11-05 on photoroom.com/pricing and photogifmaker.com/pricing. A yearly price below is the amount paid for the year. A monthly subscription is a different bill. Photoroom says credits can vary by country or region, so read the live card before you pay.
Quick answer — is Motionframe a Photoroom Product Animator alternative?
Choose Motionframe for a silent listing clip, an MP4 and a GIF, and no Max plan. Choose Photoroom if you want the editor and Video Ad Maker. The shared job is a short silent video from product photos. Cut-outs and spoken ads stay on Photoroom.
What Photoroom Product Animator is (and is not)
Listing motion, not Video Ad Maker
Product Animator makes short, silent product videos. It was previously named Video Generator. You can add up to four images. The troubleshooting article says the first photo is animated and the others are references, such as logos. Output is silent, 5 or 10 seconds, 720p on Max, and 1080p on Ultra. The video generator page says 300+ templates set the scene and the motion. A prompt is only for smaller changes. Frames are Square, 9:16, or 16:9, cropped from the center.
Video Ad Maker is separate: actors, music, and voice-over. Use it when you want sound. The video generator page says those ads can run 5, 8, or 10 seconds in 9:16 or 16:9. That is not Product Animator's 5 or 10 seconds. Both tools are on Max and Ultra, not Pro.
Not the same as Photoroom Background Remover
Background Remover is not Product Animator. Photoroom's pricing FAQ groups it with other core tools on every paid plan, and those tools do not spend AI credits, within fair-use limits. Product video does spend credits, and Pro does not include it. If you need a cut-out, this is the wrong comparison. Motionframe does not remove backgrounds.
Not MoveFrame or meme photo-to-GIF tools
MoveFrame and meme photo-to-GIF tools move a face or make a joke. A listing loop has to keep the product. Motionframe starts from your packshot, with Rotate, Zoom, Gloss, Float, Orbit, or Reveal. It is not a face animator. If the label, color, or shape moved, do not publish that file.
Photoroom pricing if you only want product videos (2026)
Pro has no product video
Pro does not include product video. On photoroom.com/pricing, checked 2026-11-05, the monthly subscription is $12.99. The yearly price is $89.99 paid up front. The yearly card shows that as $7.50 a month, billed yearly. Pro lists 8,000 AI credits and 1,000 exports. Those credits do not add Product Animator. Plan help says Pro and Max yearly plans include a 7-day free trial. It does not say the trial puts video on Pro.
Max and Ultra unlock Product Animator
Max and Ultra include video for ads and product pages. On photoroom.com/pricing, checked 2026-11-05, Max's monthly subscription is $34.99. The yearly offer is $250 paid up front, about $20.83 a month if that annual charge is spread over 12 months. That $20.83 figure is not a monthly subscription. Ultra's monthly subscription is $99. The yearly price is $990 paid up front, and the yearly card shows $82.50 a month, billed yearly. Higher Ultra columns on the comparison table are not given a separate price here. Product Animator video is 720p on Max and 1080p on Ultra.
Credits and “up to 50 generations” on Max
The pricing row "Video for ads and product pages" is off on Pro, up to 50 generations on Max, and up to 150 on Ultra, if you spend that plan's credits on this feature alone. A video ad uses more credits than a product video. Max lists 25,000 AI credits and 3,000 exports, renewed each billing cycle. A quiet month is not free. The Free plan is personal, non-commercial use only.
Motionframe pricing for the same job
Free
Free is two standard animations, each a watermarked MP4 and GIF. Standard is 1 credit. Use them as a preview, not as the listing file.
One-time credit packs
Then you buy a pack once. Starter is $9 for 60 credits ($0.15 each). The Pro pack is $29 for 250 (about 12 cents each). Standard is 1 credit. HD is 5 credits at 720p when HD is offered. A failed render refunds the credit. Bought credits stay until you use them. Clips are 3 or 5 seconds, in 1:1, 4:5, or 9:16. There is no shop plugin.
Seller at $15 a month is not on sale
The pricing page also shows Seller at $15 a month, with 150 credits a month and rollover in the card copy. The button says Coming soon, and the card says monthly billing is not open yet. Seller is not for sale. The examples below do not use it.
Real monthly cost — a seller with a few new SKUs a week
Example, not a survey: five new products a week, one silent loop each, about 20 clips a month. No second motion and no ad. Scale the 20 if your week differs.
Worked example for about 20 listing clips. Prices checked 2026-11-05. Not a measured average of real shops.
| Item | Photoroom | Motionframe |
|---|---|---|
| Plan that can make the clip | Max or Ultra. Pro does not include this video. | A credit pack. Seller at $15 a month is Coming soon, not for sale. |
| What this month costs | Max is $34.99 if you pay monthly, or $250 for the year up front (about $20.83 a month over 12 months). You pay it even if 20 clips leave credits unused. Ultra is $99 a month, or $990 for the year ($82.50 a month on the yearly card). | 20 standard credits. The $9 pack (60) covers them. Free files are watermarked. |
| If those 20 clips are HD | 720p on Max. 1080p on Ultra. | 100 credits when HD is offered (5 each). That fits the $29 pack (250), not the $9 pack. |
| If you stop next month | Cancel in Manage Subscriptions. A yearly price is billed for the year. | No renewal. Unused credits stay on the account. |
| Files | A silent video. Public pages describe video, not a listing GIF. | An MP4 and a GIF. |
Three standard months at this size fit in the $9 pack. Two HD months, at 100 credits each when HD is offered, fit in the $29 pack with 50 credits left. There is no paired packshot demo on this page.

GIF vs MP4 on the channels you sell
Use the file the channel actually accepts. The size guide cites the help pages below. Rules change, so check the upload screen too.
For Shopify, the size guide cites product video up to 10 minutes, 1 GB, and 4K, in .mp4, .mov, or .webm. A 3 or 5 second MP4 fits. A GIF does not fill that slot. See the Shopify walkthrough.
For Etsy, the size guide cites up to two videos, up to 100 MB, with audio removed. One help page says 3 to 15 seconds and another says 5 to 15. A 5 second MP4 meets the stricter line. Square and 4:5 sit inside the cited aspect range. Use the MP4. See adding a video to an Etsy listing.
For Amazon, the size guide cites shoppable video as .mov or .mp4, up to 1080p, up to 5 GB, and 1 to 12 minutes. A 5 second loop is not a complete shoppable video on that page. Sponsored Brands and A+ are separate. Verify anything else against current official help. See the Amazon note.
Email has no single mailbox standard in the size guide. Use the GIF for an image slot and the MP4 where video is required. For TikTok, export a 9:16 MP4. Verify TikTok's current rules against official help.
When you should stay on Photoroom
Stay on Photoroom for background removal, retouching, batch edits, 300+ scene templates, up to four reference angles, or Video Ad Maker. Stay if you use the apps, Spaces, or the Batch and Shopify image sync described in the pricing FAQ. Motionframe credits do not cancel a Max bill.
Who Motionframe is best for
Motionframe fits a few new products a week, a packshot you trust, and a 1:1, 4:5, or 9:16 loop plus an MP4, paid from a $9 or $29 pack. If the photo still needs a cut-out or a spoken ad, do that on Photoroom first.
How to try Motionframe in five minutes
Open create or photo to GIF. Upload a JPG, PNG, or WebP up to 10 MB, choose a motion, 3 or 5 seconds, and a frame, then download both files. Free exports are watermarked. Standard is 1 credit. HD is 5 credits when offered. Check the size guide before a batch. Same tool: product GIF maker, product photo to video.

Questions
What is a good Photoroom Product Animator alternative for listing clips?
Motionframe (photogifmaker.com) is a Photoroom Product Animator alternative for sellers who need a short listing loop from one product photo, not a full Photoroom Max subscription. You upload a packshot, pick a catalog motion (Rotate, Zoom, Gloss, Float, Orbit, or Reveal), and download both an MP4 and a GIF in 1:1, 4:5, or 9:16. Photoroom's Product Animator, in the help docs checked in 2026, makes silent 5- or 10-second videos from up to four photos with 300+ templates, and it is included on Max and Ultra, not Pro. Motionframe does not replace Photoroom's background removal or Video Ad Maker.
How much does Photoroom cost if you only need product videos?
On photoroom.com/pricing, checked 2026-11-05, Pro is a $12.99 monthly subscription, or $89.99 for the year (the yearly card shows $7.50 a month, billed yearly). Pro does not include video for ads and product pages. Product Animator and Video Ad Maker require Max or Ultra. Max is a $34.99 monthly subscription, or $250 for the year paid up front (about $20.83 a month over 12 months, not a separate monthly rate). Ultra is $99 a month, or $990 for the year (the yearly card shows $82.50 a month, billed yearly). Max product videos are 720p. Ultra can do 1080p, per Photoroom's Product Animator troubleshooting article. Photoroom's Free plan is for personal, non-commercial use only.
What does Product Animator actually output?
Silent video, 5 or 10 seconds, 720p on Max and 1080p on Ultra, from up to four images. The first image is animated. Frames are Square, 9:16, or 16:9. The video generator page says 300+ templates set the scene and the motion. Voice-over, music, and actors are Video Ad Maker, not Product Animator.
How does Motionframe pricing compare with Max for a few new SKUs a week?
About five new products a week, one standard clip each, is roughly 20 credits. The $9 pack includes 60, so that month fits. Max still bills $34.99 for a month, or $250 for the year (about $20.83 a month over 12 months). Twenty HD clips are 100 credits when HD is offered, which fits the $29 pack and not the $9 pack. Seller at $15 a month was Coming soon on 2026-11-05 and is not for sale.
Does Motionframe replace Photoroom's background remover and Video Ad Maker?
No. Motionframe does not remove backgrounds and does not make ads with actors, music, or voice-over. Background Remover is a core Photoroom tool on paid plans. Video Ad Maker and Product Animator are Max and Ultra features. Use Motionframe only for a silent listing loop plus a GIF.
When should I stay on Photoroom instead of switching?
Stay on Photoroom if you already edit and batch product photos there, you want 300+ scene templates or up to four reference angles, you need Video Ad Maker with actors or voice-over, or you rely on Photoroom's apps and catalog workflow. Choose Motionframe when you only need a few watermark-free listing clips, you prefer a one-time $9 or $29 credit pack over a Max subscription, and you want a GIF plus an MP4 from the same still. Motionframe's Seller plan at $15 a month was still marked Coming soon as of 2026-11-05.
GIF or MP4 for Shopify, Etsy, and Amazon?
Use the MP4 for Shopify product media and for Etsy's listing video. Etsy help, as cited in the size guide, says both 3 to 15 seconds and 5 to 15 seconds. Amazon's cited shoppable video is 1 to 12 minutes, so a 5 second loop is not a complete shoppable video on that page. Use the GIF for email. Anything those citations skip: verify against current official help.
